What kind of blur is applied?

A Gaussian blur using the browser canvas filter. It is smooth and natural-looking, not pixelated.

How do I blur only part of the image?

This tool blurs the whole image. Use the Blur Face tool to auto-target faces, or crop first and composite manually.

Are my images uploaded to a server?
