Terms of Service

Last updated: April 14, 2026

1. What Image Toolkit is

Image Toolkit (“the Service”) is a free, web-based suite of image editing tools available at imagetoolkit.app. The Service is provided by Image Toolkit (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

2. The service is free

Image Toolkit is free to use. We support the service through advertising. There are no premium tiers, no hidden limits, and no watermarks on output files.

We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future, but existing free functionality will remain free.

3. Your content

You retain full ownership of any images you process using Image Toolkit. We claim no rights over your files.

For client-side tools, your files never leave your device — we have no access to them. For server-side tools (background removal, upscaling, HEIC conversion, HTML rendering, and face blurring), files are processed in memory and deleted immediately. See our privacy policy for details.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to edit and use the images you process with our tools. Do not use the Service to process images you don’t have permission to use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
  • Attempt to overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to our servers or infrastructure.
  • Use automated scripts to make bulk requests to our server-side API beyond reasonable personal use.
  • Redistribute, resell, or white-label the Service without written permission.
  • Process images containing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or other content that violates applicable law.

We reserve the right to block access to users or IP addresses that violate these terms.

5. Accuracy and limitations

Image processing results depend on your browser, device, and input files. We make a reasonable effort to produce accurate output, but we do not guarantee that results will be identical across all browsers or devices.

AI-powered tools (background removal, upscaling, face detection) use machine learning models that are not perfect. Results may contain artifacts, miss regions, or produce unexpected output. Always review results before using them.

6. Availability

We aim to keep Image Toolkit available at all times, but we don’t guarantee uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

Client-side tools work offline once the page has loaded (they don’t need a server connection). Server-side tools require an active connection to our API.

7. Limitation of liability

Image Toolkit is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, corrupted output, or inability to access the Service.

Since client-side tools run on your device, we have no control over and no responsibility for how your browser handles file processing. Always keep backups of important images.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the “last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the state in which Image Toolkit operates.
