Frequently asked questions
Why render on the server when the preview is local?
Browser canvas filters produce slightly different output across Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. Server rendering uses libvips so your exported JPG/PNG/WebP matches exactly regardless of what device you used to create it.
Can I stack filters?
No — the tool applies one filter at a time so the output stays predictable. Use the intensity slider to dial the effect up or down.
Is the filtered export destructive?
Your original is never modified. The exported file is a new image; you can re-run the tool with different settings at any time.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
Yes. This tool is server-backed: the image is sent to the MakeMyImgs API, processed there, and returned to you. It is held only for the duration of the job and is not stored afterward. The badge under the tool title says which tools run locally instead.
