Frequently asked questions
- Will rotating reduce image quality?
- Rotations in multiples of 90° and flips are lossless — no pixels are resampled. Arbitrary-angle rotation is not supported because it requires quality-reducing interpolation.
- Does this fix incorrectly oriented iPhone photos?
- Yes. If a photo appears sideways because the EXIF orientation flag was stripped, rotating here and re-downloading bakes the correct orientation into the pixels.
- Are my images uploaded to a server?
- Yes. This tool is server-backed: the image is sent to the MakeMyImgs API, processed there, and returned to you. It is held only for the duration of the job and is not stored afterward. The badge under the tool title says which tools run locally instead.
